Treasure House Fashions is thrilled to announce the purchase of their new HOME located at 7607 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 (former Surroundings Furniture store).
They are NOT moving yet! This tenderhearted nonprofit – the “closet” for over 60 agencies throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area – has some fundraising to complete for the required renovations, transition costs, and on-going programming during this transition time.
Treasure House Fashions began their journey 14 years ago and has given away over $200,000 worth of resale value clothing (actual value much higher). The nonprofit has been a hidden nugget in the North Hills providing clothing and so much more. “Clothing is our means – not our mission. Our heart is to affirm the treasure within every woman who graces our doors,” explains Executive Director Sally Power. The organization has cultivated a supportive relationship with other agencies, fostering collaborative support to women in transition or crisis.
Treasure House invites members of the community to join their mission in preparing their HOME as a long-term resource for women, particularly women in need.
A capital campaign is under way to raise needed monies for renovations to the building. The First Annual Masters of Mini Golf will be held on August 27th from 6-9 pm at Glowgolf at Ross Park Mall. Click here for tickets, sponsorship information or to support the cause.
